Munchkin

The Munchkin Cat is the short-legged American cat discovered in the 1990s.  Most cat societies do not accept it. The Munchkin Cat is called after the nation from the The Wizard of Oz, but it is not its single name, it is also referred to as the American Munchkin, the Munchkin Mutant, the Wiener cat, the Dachshund cat, the Minikat.
This is a short-haired cat with a dominant gene for reduced leg-length, the front legs being even shorter than the back legs. The length of the front legs is no more than 7.5cm (3”). Look like weasels, poor things, don't they?
Despite their clumsy appearance, the Munchkins, according to their advocates, are capable of turning faster than the longer-legged breeds, are able to run backwads and don't jump on to kitchen counters.
