Kitten

Kitten of Miss Anne White. George Stubbs (1724-1806).
Roy Miles Gallery, London.

Feline scientists have considered for a long time that kittens emit some sort of telepathic rays that meet human brains like a flame-thrower on full blast meets a load of butter. If these K-rays do exist then this kitten certainly possesses a lot of them. He has enough power to force a group of perfectly normal people to go "Whadda lipple coochie woochie" around him. As a painting it is great. Stubbs managed to convey the whole kitteness of the subject on to paper.
I got acquainted with the art of George Stubbs recently, he is great in depicting felines - lions, cheetahs, and others. If you'd like to see some of his works, go to www.abcgallery.com/S/stubbs/stubbs.html.
